What if my budget requires that I do most of the work myself but I still feel that I need the guidance of a Professional Decorator?

Not a problem. Just let us know during the first interview. We will work with you on an hourly rate of only $60 per hour. We will devise a plan for you to follow through with on your own.

 
Do I have to be in town while the work is being done? I have a condo I want completely redecorated and ready when we return in November. I do have a budget but don't want to have to fly down to make all the decisions.


NO. Your physical presence is not necessary. We can communicate via phone interviews and emails to discuss your budget. We will need to do a thorough interview (Consultation) to establish your style, color choices, etc. We will also need to get into the condo to take proper measurements and evaluate all aspects of the space. Everything else can be handled via the internet using digital camera imagery and endless resource catalogs on-line. We will then email pictures of furniture and window treatment selections for your approval.  We actually have several clients that prefer to have us do a project in their absence. You will still have a "No Surprises" finished product.

 
What if I don't like the finished product?

You, the client, always make the final decisions. We will create a finished plan (Design Package) that meets your needs while staying within your budget and time constraints. The Design Package begins with an inventory list of all items (furniture, fabric, window treatments, flooring, cabinetry, wall coverings, labor and materials) that will be used in your Design. We take your budget and divide it out over all items in the inventory list.  Then we work within this budget to create the final Design Package. For large items, such as furniture, flooring, cabinets and window treatments, we generally offer our clients three choices.  You will be presented with pictures, dimensions and samples where available to assure you know exactly what you are getting. Therefore, NO SURPRISES. You will have a very clear idea of what the finished room will look like long before any work begins or any items are ordered.  

 
Will you use my existing furniture or is it necessary to purchase all new pieces?

That is always our goal.  We make every attempt to invest your budget dollars only into the areas that are needed. We will work with you and make suggestions as to how we can use some or all of your existing furniture within the room we are designing. Quite often rearranging furniture, slipcovers, upholstery or re-finishing are needed. You, the client, make the final decision.

 
Are LSI sub-contractors bonded and insured?

Absolutely.
